Appointment Of New Director

Lara Exploration Ltd. ("Lara" or the "Company") announces the resignation of Mr. Nick DeMare from the board of directors and the appointment of Mr. Michael Winn as a director of the Company.

Mr. Winn is currently President of Terrasearch Inc., a consulting company that provides analysis on mining and energy companies. Mr. Winn has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1983 and the mining industry since 1992. He is currently a director and V.P. of Corporate Development for Quest Capital Corp. and is also a director of several companies that are involved in mineral exploration around the world.

The Company is also pleased to announce that Mark Gelmon has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Lara focuses on the acquisition, discovery and exploration of gold and base metal deposits, and holds exploration properties in Brazil and Peru.
